DNLoader Revision History
Version Date

Description of Problems / Additions / Changes

1.5 11-May-2018 Added support for D4-454 CPU.
1.4 21-Apr-2015 Added the following three command line switches:

/u - enable RUN mode update (ECOM, ECOM100, KSequence)
/g - enable END/RUN which can download END coil to temporarily put PLC in RUN mode for faster download
/k - enable use of KSequence protocol on serial port

1.3e 17-Jan-2014 Fixed a problem where DNLoader would get an "Error Reading V Memory" message when trying to connect to a D3-350 CPU.

1.3d 3-Oct-2013 Fixed various downloading problems with DL06 PLCs where a download will either time out randomly or appears to work, but it didn't actually happen.

1.3c 12-Jan-2010 Lengthened the Ethernet communication timeouts to compensate for some older DL06 CPUs which require more time during the process of writing to their ROM.

1.3b 2-Oct-2009 Lengthened the serial communication timeouts to compensate for some older DL06 CPUs which require more time during the process of writing to their ROM.

1.3 14-Dec-2005 You can run DNLoader from a command prompt with switched options (this allows it to be used without user interfacing and no GUI. To see the switch options use the /? switch.

When the .DAT file is saved, you can set an option that requires that the .DAT file and the PLC passwords match before it will download.

1.2a 11-Apr-2005 The DL-240 CPU dos not allow writing to the retentive range memory. A workaround was added to DNLoader that allows the user to unselect the memory that would be written to the retentive range memory. Use these steps:
  1. Read PLC
  2. Write File ( unselect all except Program )
  3. Write File (select a filename )
  4. Read File (specify the filename in the above step )
  5. Write PLC
1.1d 12-August-2004 Now with improved password handling.

Includes new "DNLoader Flow Chart.PDF" documentation.

1.1c 20-May-2004 If DNLoader adds a password to the file it creates, the user will be prompted for this password if the user selects the Write File operation. This prevents the user from accidentally removing the password from the saved file.

1.1b 20-Feb-2004 Created installation file (SetupDNL.Exe) for DNLoader.

1.1b 11-Feb-2004 Added error message if you attempt to write to a PLC that's in RUN mode.

1.0 16-Dec-2003 Initial Release
