- You can run DNLoader
from a command prompt with switched options (this allows it to be used
without user interfacing and no GUI. To see the switch options use the
/? switch.
- When the .DAT file
is saved, you can set an option that requires that the .DAT file and the
PLC passwords match before it will download.

- The DL-240 CPU dos not allow writing to the retentive
range memory. A workaround was added to DNLoader that allows the user to
unselect the memory that would be written to the retentive range memory.
Use these steps:
1. Read PLC
2. Write File ( unselect all except Program )
3. Write File (select a filename )
4. Read File (specify the filename in the above step )
5. Write PLC

- If DNLoader adds a password to
the file it creates, the user will be prompted for this password if the
user selects the Write File operation. This prevents the user from
accidentally removing the password from the saved file.
